If shops do sell alcohol illegally they face a fine up to £5000 or even six months in prison. The shop owner could also have his license revoked that would stop him or her from being able to sell alcohol to anybody.
However if you are seen drinking alcohol illegally by the police, you can have your alcohol confiscated, receive an on the spot fine of £80 or even be arrested! You’re better off leaving alcohol to the adults.
