Here are some other sites on youth parliament.
The parliament, with colleagues from Looked After Care, Particip8, Youth Choice and Crest, organised a fantastic youth consultation event at Ocean Road CA.
Over 150 young people attended the event to give their views about what they need the council to do for young people today.
Young people said that they want more facilities that they can access at times that suit them. Mental health and bullying also remain big issues among young people.
The event was attended by The Mayor of South Tyneside, Cllr John Anglin, Director of Childrens Services, Helen Watson, who listened to the views of young people at the end of the day.
We had hip hop street dancing from Fighting Fit Bangladeshi Group, drama from Jackie Fielding, HYPE website workshop, art and painting workshop and sexual health workshops.
We are planning to hold Youth Voices events 3 times per year.
A full report from the day is available. Please contact Tracey Moore on 0191 424 7718 for more details.
