Getting Involved:

Community Area Forums

Community Areas Forums - Your Views Count:

Community Area Forum meetings are held every six weeks so that people who live in South Tyneside can find out about what is happening in their area and have a chance to say what they think. There are six Community Area Forums. Find out which one is yours and try to come along to the next one!

For Further details or if you would like to speak to someone about getting involved, please call 0191 424 7257.

Scrutiny - Make Your Mark

Scrutiny is when the Council takes a very close look at decisions that are being made which affect local people. Scrutiny can involve all members of the community and can make real differences to the way things are done in the future.

  • Scrutiny has, for example, looked at Obesity and the choices we have
  • Scrutiny has also considered the job and enterprise opportunities available to everyone
  • Scrutiny goes out to look at and experience the services on offer to everyone.

For Further details or if you would like to speak to someone about getting involved, please call 0191 424 7257.
