CV Tips:

CV is short for curriculum vitae and is a brief record of you education, achievements, experience and interests. As you progress through your working life, your CV will grow with you.

  • Keep your CV as brief and concise as possible. It should be word processed on good quality, clean A4 paper
  • Highlight your qualifications, achievements and experience relevant to the job you are applying for
  • Make sure that the layout of your CV is easy to read and understand. Check your spelling, punctuation and grammar – get someone else to read through it if required
  • Be honest as you may be asked to explain what you have written
  • Ask your referees for permission before including them in your CV
  • Don’t fold your CV – it should be posted in an A4 envelope.
