Bringing In The Cash:

Connexions

Come and speak to your Connexions personal adviser

Connexions is a confidential advice and support service for all 13-19 year olds (and up to age 25 for young people with special needs).

Connexions offers you advice and support on a wide range of lifestyle issues including education, training, careers, employment, health and personal development opportunities.

Connexions Personal Advisers can offer you information and guidance to help you make positive choices about your future.

A Personal Adviser is someone who will get to know you and offer the information and guidance that is best for you as an individual.

If you need particular support to overcome barriers to learning, your Personal Adviser can put you in touch with the right people.

Personal Advisers are on hand to talk about all the options available in schools, sixth forms, further education colleges, universities and work based learning or job opportunities.

There are Connexions Access Points in your school, local college and training providers where you can browse current vacancies, look at prospectuses or access information from computer based resources.

Your personal adviser can also help you find out about the support available to help you continue in learning, including the Education Maintenance Allowance (EMA).

To get in touch with your Connexions PA please contact 0191 424 6630 or visit the connexions website.

You can also visit the Connexions Office on Ocean Road in South Shields, open from 9.30am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday.
