The design for the Hype! website could not have come about if were not for the help from the youth around South Tyneside.
It's important to have a design that appeals to the people that will be using it the most. This is why it's important to do something called 'market research'. What this means is trying to find out what type of design appeals to the people who would be looking at Hype!
After carrying out our research, we created a series of 'moodboards'. Moodboards are not the final designs, they are basically designs which we think may appeal to the people who would be looking at the Hype! website.

We presented these moodboards to a focus group of young people from around the borough. The group decided that they liked something from each of the boards. From this information we created the design of the Hype! website.
